A: Kingston Mines is open during the following times

  • Sunday: 6pm – 3:45pm

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30pm – 3:45am

  • Friday: 7pm – 3:45am

  • Saturday: 7pm – 4:45am

Q: Are you open on the holidays?

A: Kingston Mines is open 365 days a year, including all holidays. We feature the finest in live blues music that Chicago has to offer – 2 Bands, 2 Stages, Live Blues 7 nights a week.

Q: Is there a cover charge?

A: Yes, the cover charge is $12 Sunday – Thursday and $15 on Friday/Saturday. The cover charge covers 2 bands on 2 stages and music until 3:30am (Sunday-Friday) / 4:30am (Saturday). A current, valid photo ID is required to get into the club – please make sure you bring your ID with you.

Q: Do you offer any discounts on the cover charge?

A: We offer the following discounts

  • Students (21+)/Faculty: Sunday night-Thursday night– Free, Friday/Saturday – Discounted admission

  • Seniors (65+): Discounted admission all week

  • US Military (current & separated)/Police/Firefighters: Free all week

  • Birthdays: If you come in within +/- three days of your actual birthday, your admission is free

  • Blues Alley Sundays: Only on Sundays, If you pay the cover charge at Kingston Mines, you get free admission to B.L.U.E.S. across the street (that’s three bands altogether!)

  • Kingston Mines’ Blues Jam: Admission is free 6-8pm on Sundays during our Blues Jam. Doc’s Rib Joint, our kitchen, opens early at 6pm on Sundays.

  • Industry: We extend courtesy to our friends in the hospitality industry with current credentials and a current, valid photo ID.

  • Free admission/discounts provided on presentation of current proper identification/credentials and do not apply on New Year’s Eve.

Q: Do I have to buy tickets in advance or can I pay at the door?

A: You can buy tickets in advance online at https://www.ticketweb.com/venue/kingston-mines-chicago-blues-center-chicago-il/18842 or pay when you arrive, it’s up to you. If you purchase advance tickets, please bring your printed confirmation with you.

  • We do recommend buying tickets in advance for New Year’s Eve.

  • Buying tickets in advance does not guarantee seats – it is best to arrive early.

Q: Do you serve food?

A: Doc’s Rib Joint, our kitchen at the back of the Kingston Mines, features ribs, rib tips, catfish, red beans and rice, soup, salad, dessert and more! Our kitchen is always open right up to last call (3:30am Sunday- Thursday / 4:30am Saturday). We respectfully request that your final orders be placed at least 15-30 min before last call to allow for cooking time. Orders placed within 15 min of last call may be served in To-Go containers. Q: Do you accept credit cards?

A: Yes, we accept the following credit cards for cover charge, food, drinks and T-Shirts, etc: American Express, VISA, Mastercard and Discover.

Q: How can I buy a Kingston Mines shirt, mug, pin, etc?

A: You can browse our T-Shirt booth in the club, online store coming soon.

Q: Is Kingston Mines handicap accessible?

A: Yes, Kingston Mines is proud to be handicap accessible. If you require any additional assistance, please let us know. If you wish to make particular arrangements ahead of time, please contact us at 773-477-4647 after 7pm or info@kingstonmines.com.

Q: Do you take reservations?

A: We are limited in space so we can take only limited table reservations. Please note:

  • We do not hold tables after 8:00pm on Friday/Saturday or 8:30pm Sunday-Thursday. If a reserved table remains empty at 8:00pm (8:30pm Sun-Thurs), the reservation will be cancelled and the table will be opened up for other guests to use.

  • A reserved table is reserved only until guests arrive – the table is not reserved for the entire evening. If your party leaves your table for any reason during the course of the night (such as to sit in the other room), the table is automatically opened up to other guests to use. A party may not occupy two sets of seats in the club for any reason (one or two persons may not hold a table for an entire party, if the rest of the party has gone elsewhere in the club).

Q: Is there a dress code?

A: We have no dress code – folks come to the club in everything from cutoffs and flip flops to full formal. We recommend you come in what’s comfortable for you. That said, there are the usual minimums: shoes and a shirt (+ pants/skirt/shorts).

Q: Where can I park?

A: There is some street parking available. There is also a garage at Home Depot in the block just north of Kingston Mines, on the opposite side of the street. We have valet parking on Fridays and Saturdays. We are also accessible by public transit. Some folks also come by taxicab, Uber or Lyft.

Q: How can I plan an event at Kingston Mines?

Q: Do you have a coat check?

A: Yes, the coat check is located in the T-Shirt booth, right inside the front door.

Q: Do you have a Lost & Found?

A: Yes, the Lost & Found is located in our T-Shirt booth. The best time to call is after 7:30pm.

Q: When is your open Blues Jam?

A: The Blues Jam happens 6pm – 9pm on Sunday. Come in and sign up early. Admission is free 6pm – 8pm on Sundays.

Q: Whom do I talk to about booking my band at Kingston Mines?

A: Please send a press kit to the club including samples of music, photos and published independent reviews of the band. Please bear in mind that we are blues nightclub, so we look for blues bands.
